SIMPLE SKIN CARE TIPS FOR EVERY SEASON

SKIN CARE TIPS FOR EVERY SEASON

Choosing skin health is a daily routine no matter what the season. The changing seasons call for some adjustments in skin routines. No matter what the temperature outside is, the changing seasons call for some adjustments in skin routines.

WINTER MONTHS: -

To stay healthy, skin needs more than hats, gloves and coats as layers of protection from the cold weather. The colder weather and wind brings a lack of moisture outside and in that can cause cracking, chapping, irritation and skin conditions such as eczema.
  • DON'T TAKE LONG HOT SHOWERS: -
While everyone enjoys basking a long hot shower, the hot water can strip the skin of its natural elements – contributing to dry skin. Instead, use lukewarm water for a shorter period of time.
  • MOISTURES ON DAMP SKIN: -
Remember to moisturize yourself immediately after a bath, while the skin is still damp. This ensures that the moisture is sealed in, leaving the skin hydrated and supple. Dryer areas like hands, feet, elbows, and knees have thin skin and tend to lose moisture faster than other area on the body.

  • EXFOLIATE TWICE A WEEK: -
Needless to say, exfoliation is a must to remove the dead cells and to allow the new skin cells to come up, breathe and be moisturized.Using a scrub once or twice a week should do the trick to rejuvenate the skin.
  • USE NIGHT CREAMS: -
Don’t be lazy about the night cream routine. Follow it religiously. Use creams without perfumes or paraffin’s. Lesser preservative makes for better longer lasting creams.

·    HOME REMEDIES: -

A few home remedies never did anyone harm.
Here is a coup to keep your skin soft and nourished:

1.      CURD TO THE RESCUE: -

Take curd, even straight from the
fridge and apply it on extra dry skin or even on any rash. Leave it
on for about 20 minutes and then wash it off with rose water or plain
water. This will leave your skin filling definitely healthier and softer.
Go ahead apply your night cream after that.

·     DRINK: -

We tend to drink less water in the winter because we turn to hot drinks like cocoa and tea, but don’t forget that your skin needs hydration from the inside, out. A little warm water with lemon can be very refreshing and hydrating at the same time.

·         VITAMIN 'E' CAPSULES: -

Another trick is using Vitamin E capsules. Cut or burst open a capsule. Apply it directly to dry or mature skin. Leave it on for 20 minutes then wipe your face gently but thoroughly. Do not wash your face and apply your night cream. This can be done once a week. If the skin is too dry, then twice a week.

·          LIP LOCK: -

For the lips, a lip balm is a must. You can un-chap your lips by applying a vanilla scrub of two parts sugar, one-part olive oil, and a dash of vanilla essence mixed well together.

 AUTUMN MONTHS: -

As dry, cooler air arrives, skin may lose precious moisture. Autumn also provides an opportunity to recover from the summer toll on the skin left by sun, chlorine and saltwater.
  •  DO EXFOLIATE AND MOISTURIZE: -
It’s best to apply moisturizer directly after a bath or shower to help seal in and replenish the skin with the necessary water and oils.

  •  DO PROTECT YOUR LIPS: -
Continue to protect against the sun’s
ultraviolet rays. But also start moisturizing now to prevent dry, cracked lips this winter.

  •  SWITCH FROM LOTION TO CREAM: -
As the air becomes drier, skin needs a thicker moisturizer. Creams provide a stronger oily barrier to provide hydration.

  •  INVEST IN HAND CREAM: -

Hands often become dry and cracked during the winter. Start moisturizing hands now to ensure soft and healthy hands all winter long.

  •   DON'T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN: -
Even though the temperatures seem cooler and the days shorter, children and adults should continue to apply sunscreen before heading out.

SPRING MONTHS: -

As soon as the day’s start getting longer and spring is on the doorstep, you can put away your thick tights, cardigans and glove. It's time to show off your skin again and bring out the spring fashions.

·         MOISTURE SKIN: -

Before you get to that stage, you should first say goodbye to your dry winter skin. This is best done using a gentle scrub for your whole body. And for your face, you can choose from a range of NIVEA face creams and cleansers, which will leave your skin cleansed right down to the pores. Afterwards, you can moisturize your skin to make it silky soft with NIVEA Care range, which hydrates intensively without leaving your skin feeling oily.

·      EATING TO MAKE YOURSELF BEAUTIFUL FOR SPRING: -

If you want to have beautiful l skin, you need to eat healthily. In spring we are more inclined to enjoy fresh fruit and crispy vegetables. These foods are not only healthy, they are also good for your skin: foods with Vitamin A, such as carrots, broccoli and spinach stimulate cell division, promote the formation of elastic fiber’s and prevent dry skin. You should eat three to five portions of fruit and vegetables, a day. This will help ensure that your skin is supplied with important nutrients and you can look forward to having soft skin again.

·        DON'T FORGET THE SUNSCREEN: -

Even though the temperatures are just warming up, children and adults should continue to liberally apply sunscreen before heading outside. Some states require children to obtain a doctor’s note in order to re-apply sunscreen at school or day camp.

SUMMER MONTHS: -

·        MOISTURIZE: -

Moisturizing is absolutely essential. Simply moisturize, there are no two ways about it. You may think that winters are over, and skip that part of your regimen, but no, not happening.
The problem with summers is the extreme heat that dehydrates your body and makes your skin dry. Dry skin is prone to damage and dullness, and you need to butter it up to make up for the moisture loss. The moisturizer acts as a barrier for pollutants, bacteria, and sunburn.

·         EXFOLIATE: -

For any treatment or cream to work on your skin, it needs to be clean. For that, you need to exfoliate at regular intervals to slough away the accumulated dead skin cells that are clogging your pores and forming a layer on your skin. Exfoliation also makes your face a better canvas to apply makeup on. Make sure you alternate between homemade and market-bought exfoliates to maintain a balance.

  • DRINK WATER: -
Yes, drink up and loosen up. We mean water, lots of it. The problem with summer is, it makes you sweat a lot, making your cells lose water quickly.
To maintain moisture levels in your body and not feel weak or faint due to dehydration, you need to keep a check on your drinking (water) game and get it right.
Ideally, drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day and include lots of fresh juices and fruits with high water content in your diet.

·   USE SUNSCREEN: -

Protect your skin with sunscreen before it gets
damaged by the sun, because, let me remind you, prevention is better than cure. Sun rays are a cause for many skin issues, such as dry skin, brown spots, and fine lines. Choose a sunscreen with SPF 30 (at least) and apply it generously on your skin. Reapply it every few hours.

·   FOLLOW A HEALTHY DIET : -

It all comes down to that, doesn’t it? A healthy diet – an excellent mix of fruits, vegetables, nuts, cereals, and pulses. A fine balance of all the nutrients that your body requires.
During summers, increase the intake of raw or boiled food. Include as many fruits and veggies in your meals as possible – go for salads, smoothies, and juices.
Make sure you are getting enough calcium as well. Also, nuts are an excellent addition because they are excellent for your skin.

HOMEMADE REMEDIES TO CLEAN SKIN

A FACE CLEAN TIPS BY SPECIAL HOMEMADE REMEDIES FOR CLEANING,SPOTLESS AND GLOWING
SKIN.

We all desire beautiful skin, sans the blemishes, but we hardly put in the extra effort (guilty as charged). In our day-to-day life filled with chaos and to-do-lists, who has the time to visit the salon and pamper your skin, right? Most of us don't even take out 20 minutes from our routine to cleanse our skin, let alone intensive skin care. But what we don't realize is that most skin-types need a regular face clean up for that healthy, radiant look. Note: It's time to take care of your skin by acing the basics. After all, your face is what gives you away when you are excited, happy or stressed. We bring you a step-by-step guide to get flawless skin at home in no time, plus expert tips to enhance your natural beauty, and keep blemishes at bay.

These recipes are made with herbal and natural ingredients that are usually harmless to the skin skin, easy to find, and likely to already be in your kitchen or the nearest grocery store. They promote glowing and soft skin.

1. WASH YOUR FACE.
Wash your face thoroughly with a facial cleanser or face wash, and pat the skin dry with a soft towel. "Avoid hot water as it dries out the skin",\recommends Dr. Rahul Nagar, Dermatologist, Max Hospitals. Next, dab some cleansing milk on a cotton pad and wipe your face with it in order to unclog your pores and remove any leftover dirt.

 2.OATMEAL.
Oatmeal helps calm inflamed skin and absorb excess oil. It also helps exfoliate dead skin. Oatmeal, when used in facial masks, is usually ground. It can be combined with yogurt, honey, or mashed fruit such as bananas, apples, or papaya. To use oatmeal on your face:
  1. Combine 1/2 cup ground oats with hot water to form a paste.
  2. Stir in 1 tablespoon honey.
  3. Massage the oatmeal mixture into your face for about three minutes; rinse with warm water, and pat dry.
  4. Alternatively, apply the oatmeal mixture to your face and leave it on for 10–15 minutes; rinse with warm water, and pat dry.

 3. EGG WHITE AND LEMON MASK.

Egg white works to remove built up dirt from your skin and tighten your pores. Lemon brightens and exfoliates your skin. The citrus fruit also is a good source of alpha hydroxy acids and vitamin C. Combining the two ingredients gives your skin a healthy boost. To make this mask:
  1. Gather 1 egg white and juice from ½ a lemon.
  2. Beat the egg white until it becomes frothy.
  3. Add the lemon juice to your egg white.
  4. Mix together.
  5. Apply the mask to your face.
  6. Leave the mask on for thirty minutes.
  7. Gently rinse it off with warm water.

4.ALOE VERA.
Aloe vera is known for soothing burns and other skin conditions. Many people use aloe vera to treat oily skin. You can apply a thin layer to your face before bedtime and leave it on until morning. Aloe vera is known to cause allergic reaction on sensitive skin. If you have not used aloe vera before, test a small amount on your forearm. If no reaction appears within 24 to 48 hours it should be safe to use.

5.HOMEMADE MASK.
Creating a mask to remove your dark spots has two major effects. First, wearing a mask can be meditative and relaxing. Second, masks stay on your face for several minutes. This gives your natural treatment time to soak into your skin.
  • Create a mixture of raw honey and brown sugar. Mix 1 tbsp raw honey with 1 tbsp brown sugar. Place the brown sugar and honey in a small bowl. Mix together well. Store in a glass jar with an airtight lid. Keep the mixture at room temperature. Wash your face well and then apply a ½ tbsp of the scrub to your wet skin. Massage the mixture gently in a circular motion. Avoid your delicate eye area. Rinse your face with lukewarm water and pat it dry.
6.TOMATOES.
Tomatoes contain salicylic acid, a common acne home remedy. The acids in tomatoes may help absorb excess skin oils and help unclog pores. To make an exfoliating tomato mask:
  1. Combine 1 teaspoon sugar with the pulp of 1 tomato.
  2. Apply to the skin in a circular motion.
  3. Leave the mask on for 5 minutes.
  4. Rinse thoroughly with tepid water and pat dry.
You can also apply just tomato pulp or tomato slices to your skin.

A MORAL AND MOTIVATED ESSAY TO DO GOOD DEEDS IN LIFE

''GOOD MANNERS''

I'm writing this blog regarding discipline and good manner a man  should  have since his childhood, and are taught good manners initially by our parents after that by our teachers and later on by the society.

A person with good manners is appreciated by all whether he is rich or poor, beautiful or ugly, literate or illiterate. A man or woman whether they are too much highly educated and having good looks but if they are not polite and humble to others they will not be appreciated by anyone.

Good manners are not born with  us; they have to be learnt. If a child were not taught how to behave respectfully, he would grow up rough and rude like a savage. The only difference between a cultured and uncultured man is that the former is educated and knows good manners, while the latter is illiterate and behaves like a rude man in society.

Good manners are very necessary in life as they help us to behave well in the society with people as well as help us to maintain smooth, easy and positive relationship. Good manners help us to win the heart of people in the crowd and give us a unique personality. Good manner makes us person of pleasing and obeying nature which is genuinely loved and appreciated by all in the society.

Following good manners everywhere we go, we can better encourage people to behave well in the same manner to everyone. Some of the important good manners we can practice in our daily life are like:
  • We must learn the habit of sharing (but not grabbing) things to others.
  • We should be helpful, polite and humble to others at all places.
  • We must use ‘sorry’, ‘please’, ‘thank you’, ‘excuse me’ and ‘time wish’ whenever required.
  • We must respect the property of others and always take permission before using.
  • We must help our family members in completing their chores.
  • We must be responsible and self dependent for everything whether at home or outside the home.
  • We must behave well with humble respect to our teachers, parents, other elders and senior citizens.
  • We should not interfere between elder’s talk and must wait for our turn.
  • Wash hands before eating, take meals at proper time, no talk during eating and chew well with closed mouth.
  • Say “Good morning” after wakeup in the morning and “Good night” before sleeping in the night to family members.
  • Brush your teeth before going to bed in night.
  • We should hold the door open when someone is coming in and must hold his/her load if he/she is carrying something.
  • We should maintain cleanliness at home, school, and all other public places.
  • We should not use offensive language to others at home or public place.
  • We must leave the seat for senior citizens while using public transport.
  • We should never make fun of anyone as everyone has feelings and respect.
  • We should not use mobile phone unnecessarily while being in group or public place.
  • We should chew food properly and don’t talk to anyone while eating.
Following good manners not only increase the respect in people’s mind but also make us pleasant from inside. It creates the good impression in society, school, sports team, friends group and family. Life becomes much more pleasant day by day. Practicing good manners take nothing but give much more all through the life. We must practice good manners as well as encourage others to practice for the welfare of oneself, family, society and nation.
